Indian Blind Sports Association with the cooperation of the Blind Relief
Association is organising the 5th BRA-IBSA National Football Tournament for the
Blind (B-1) in New Delhi from May 4 to
May 9, 2009. The venue of the
Tournament is the Blind Relief Association, Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg
(near The Oberoi Hotel), New Delhi,
where a special football field with tactile linings and other special features
has been created. The five-a-side football matches will be played with specially
fabricated footballs with jingles.
The tournament will commence on
Monday, May 4, with the kick-off at 7:00
a.m.
In all, 10 teams from
Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan,
Uttarakhand, and West Bengal will be taking part in the tournament. Matches will be played daily at 7:00
a.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. (except morning of
Thursday, May 7).
We cordially invite you to witness and cheer the blind
footballers displaying their talent and prowess in this exciting
game.
