Dehradun would host the National Blind Cricket tournament from October 23 to 26. More than 200 players from different parts of the country would participate in the event which is taking place for the first time in the State.
A delegation of the North Zone Blind Cricket Association called upon the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence on Sunday and informed him about the tournament.
The matches of the tournament would be played at Maharana Pratap Sports Complex and Rangers ground and the finals would be played in Maharna Pratap college. Uttarakhand would be hosting the national blind cricket tournament for the first time.
It is worth mentioning here that the blind cricket tournament is being specially promoted on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Uttarakhand CM congratulated the delegation for organising the event. The General Secretary of the association Shailendra presented a memento to the CM on the occasion.
