Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), India’s first shore-based integrated Steel Plant built with state-of-the-art technology and a prime producer of long steel products in the country having extensive market in infrastructure, construction, automobile, electrical and forging industry.
RINL invites young, dynamic talented individuals to join as “Junior Trainees and OCM Trainees.
Post: Junior Trainees
No. of posts: 70, out of which 04 for Low Vision
Trade: Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Chemical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Civil, Refractory
Qualifications: Matric / SSC with full time ITI / Diploma in Engineering in respective Trades/ Disciplines (with 60% marks in regular ITI / Diploma in Engineering for Gen/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates, 50% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in all subjects of all semesters / years).
Matric /SSC (10th Standard) with full time ITI (two years and above duration with NCVT Certificate in any trade) (or) Diploma in Engineering courses in any discipline (conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training) with valid Heavy Motor Vehicle License (Transport).
Age Limit: 18-27 years
Candidates having a minimum of 40% disability are only eligible to apply under PwBD category.
The visually handicapped candidates can use their scribe / magnifying view during Online examination. In all such cases where a scribe / magnifying view is used, the following rules will apply:
The candidate will have to arrange his / her own scribe at his/her own cost.
The scribe should be from an academic stream different from that stipulated for the post, he should possess less qualification than that of the candidate.
Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case if it later transpires that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the Online test result.
Those candidates, who use a scribe / magnifying view shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the examination. If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature of both the candidate and the scribe will be cancelled.
TRAINING & STIPEND:
Candidates selected for the post will be required to undergo training for a period of twenty four (24) months. During training period, candidates with ITI qualification have to undergo one year Skill Development Course with certification from National Skill Development Corporation, which may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory.
During Training, candidates will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.10,700/- (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of Rs.12,200/- (consolidated) during the remaining period of training.
On satisfactory completion of training, Junior Trainees will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e. Technician, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation / Maintenance / Service / Mines area and OCM(Trainees) will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e., Operator cum Mechanic, subject to availability of vacancies with a minimum Basic Pay of Rs.16,800 in the pay scale (Pre-revised) of Rs.16,800-3%-24,110/- (S-3 Grade).
Online Test will be conducted simultaneously in multiple sessions at Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kakinada, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram. Candidates are required to choose one of these cities as Test Centre and no change under any circumstances will be allowed subsequently. The Company however reserves the right to add any additional centers depending on the number of candidates. Similarly, RINL can withdraw any identified centre in case of poor or insufficient response. In case of such withdrawal, the candidates will be allotted at nearby center.
