2. Reservation in Government job
In Grade `C' and `D' posts under the Government, reservation are provided in direct recruitment for physically disabled persons as indicated below :

3. Age relaxation
The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years for disabled persons for applying in Government jobs.
4. Scholarship / Stipend
The State Government gives scholarship to the disabled students from Class I to Class VIII at the following rate:
| Class I to V | Rupees 35 P.M |
| Class VI to VIII | Rupees 40 per month |
5. Disability pension
Old age pension is available to the disabled as per the following criteria
Age - 60 years & above
Per capita income - Rupees 60 per month
Family income - Rupees 250 per month
6. Bus concession
Free for disabled students in private and Government buses and 50% concession is provided for escorts of eligible disabled persons.
Director, Social Welfare issues photo identity card to the disabled for availing this facility.
7. Assistance for self-employment
Financial assistance of Rupees 2,500 to Rupees 8,000 is given for the following five economic activities:
(i) Cycle shop
(ii) Tailoring shop
(iii)Purchase of typewriter
(iv) Cottage industries
(v) Setting of kiosks
8. Assistance for purchase of aids and appliances
Under this scheme, aids and appliances like hearing aid, artificial limbs shoes, wheel chair, tricycle etc. are provided to the disabled persons through `Caritas Goa' which is a recognised organisation.
9. Other concession
The State Government has provided free ferry boat/launcher at various points of Goa.
