Facilities and concessions in Arunachal Pradesh

1. Concerned officer

(c) For enforcement of provision made in R/R for employment of disabled Deputy Secretary (W) is the nodal officer.

2. Reservation in Government job

In Gr`C' and `D' posts under theGovernment, reservation are provided in direct recruitment for physically disabled persons as indicated below :

3. Assistance for self-employment

Disabled persons get assistance for self-employment.

4. Assistance for purchase of aids and appliances

Economic assistance by way of ex-gratia relief is provided by the Directorate of Social Welfare for the Welfare & Rehabilitation and for purchase of aids and appliances.

5. Other Concessions/facilities

Medical Expenses: Reimbursement for medical treatment is available to disabled persons whose family income is less than Rupees 200 per month and who is not in receipt of adequate medical reimbursement from any other sources. The amount given for this purpose should not exceed Rupees 5,000, including the cost of Prosthetic aids. Journey expense for patient and for escort shall be paid. Director, Government of Health Services shall sanction the amount.
