The National Association for the Blind, Sabarkantha district branch was established in 1985 with the aim of providing specialized services for the welfare of the blind. • It is involved in implementing Integrated Education Programmes in the rural areas of Sabarkantha district. Blind children attend regular schools as day scholars and live with their parents. • It also runs a hostel for blind girls and besides academics; the girls are given training in house keeping and daily living skills. • Besides this it also has an employment and placement service for blind candidates and a self-employment programme for blind persons
