Using 3-D teaching aids

The Devnar School for the Blind, Hyderabad, has developed an innovative method of teaching children with visual disabilities. The school uses 3-D models of the human body and its functions - for instance, circulatory or reproductive systems, or how sight works - with notations in Braille and text. Created with painstaking care over the last five years, the models use low cost and locally available materials.

3-D model of an eye. 3-D model showing the bone structure of the arm. 3-D model of the uterus.
