Eyeway asked some people what being a blind citizen of India means to them, with a focus on one specific aspect of life.

I feel that there is no scope in the field of arts and culture for a blind Indian. Our visual impairment becomes a major hurdle every step of the way. I think there is also no effort from the government to make an effort to integrate blind citizens with the mainstream. In other countries, especially in the developed world, there are many more facilities and opportunities, which we, unfortunately, lack.
