Training of Information and Communication Technology (I.C.T.) for Visually Impaired Persons (V.I.P.s)
Location: Bangkok, Thailand
Date: November 15, 2005 to December 8, 2005
Organised by: Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability
The Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (A.P.C.D.), Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, located in Bangkok, Thailand, promotes the empowerment of persons with disabilities and a barrier-free society in developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. A.P.C.D. sees I.C.T. as one of the best solutions to empower V.I.P.s, but feels the majority of them lack opportunities to learn about I.C.T. With this in mind, A.P.C.D. is organising this event to train computer teachers/trainers for visually impaired persons in the developing countries of Asia and the Pacific.
